Individual and/or Group Crisis Debriefings

Catherine provides individual and/or group crisis debriefings following traumatic and/or stressful events.  Crisis debriefings typically provide psychoeducation about trauma responses; allow participants to begin to talk about their experience; and provide clients with information about available follow-up resources if desired.

Examples of situations in which debriefings may be beneficial include, but are not limited to:

* Workplace Accidents
* Natural Disasters
* Lay-Offs
* Robberies

* Fires
* Assaults
* Sudden deaths; including homicides, accidents, and unexpected medical situations

Catherine has completed "Community Response Team" and "Advanced Community Response Team" Trainings through the National Organization for Victim's Assistance (NOVA), as well as "Early Intervention Field Traumatology Comprehensive Training" through the Traumatology Institute.  She has also been employed as a Crisis Intervention Counsellor with Victim Services of York Region in the past.
